Ground Whole Wheat
Ground wheat is the entire wheat kernel, ground or chopped.
Ground wheat is a good quality source of carbohydrates. Because it includes the entire wheat kernel, it contributes additional protein, wheat oil, bran, and vitamins and minerals to the diet.
Carrots
Carrots are the roots of the carrot plant, and a member of the parsley family.
Innova dog and cat foods contain whole fresh carrots.
Molasses
Molasses is the thick, viscous by-product resulting from refined sugar production or the concentrated, partially dehydrated juices from fruits.
Milk
The milk Natura uses is fresh whole pasteurized milk that is lactose-free. The milk and cottage cheese used in our foods are excellent sources of calcium, protein, phosphorus and several vitamins. This is the reason they are added to Innova formulas.
Natura uses this ingredient in Innova formulations for its calcium and phosphorus content.
Honey
Honey is a sweet and viscous fluid produced by bees and other insects from the nectar of flowers. The definition of honey stipulates a pure product that does not allow for the addition of any other substance. This includes, but is not limited to, water or other sweeteners, according to the United States National Honey Board 2003 and other nations' food regulations.
Honey is significantly sweeter than table sugar and has attractive chemical properties for baking.
Vanilla
Vanilla is a flavoring derived from orchids in the genus Vanilla.
Vanilla is a vine: it grows by climbing over some existing tree, pole, or other support. The part of the plant in which the distinctive flavor compounds are found is in the fruit, resulting from the pollination of the flower.
Cinnamon
Cinnamon is a small evergreen tree 10-15 m tall, belonging to the family Lauraceae, native to Sri Lanka and Southern India. The bark is widely used as a spice.
Its flavor is due to an aromatic essential oil which it contains to the extent of from 0.5 to 1%. Cinnamon bark is widely used as a spice. It is principally employed in cookery as a condiment and flavoring material.
Salt
Salt is a natural mineral, necessary for life and good health.
Salt provides several essential nutrients, such as sodium and chloride, as well as important trace minerals. The average sodium level in our food and treats is currently 0.9 g/Mcal, which is considered low by industry standards, but still supplies the nutrients your pet's body requires.
